Nihilism in Breaking Bad

The series Breaking Bad by Vince Gilligan, in general, is not nihilistic. The main character certainly has nihilistic features. While he embodies the drug king Heisenberg, his second self in a way, Walter White does not care about anything but himself, so he is nihilistic. Furthermore, he does give orders to kill people if they are endangering his intends. He appears to be a real egoist concerning his business.

The second personality of Walter White is depicted as a loving father and caretaker of his family. Moreover, he seems to care for his ally Jessie Pinkman, even if they have a strange relationship. While both of them are together, the nihilistic features of Walter White seem to disappear.
